Dependence Analysis and Communications Synthesis Using Opera

چکیده

This paper presents the tool OPERA currently under development in our team. It aims at giving the user an environment to parallelize problems described by systems of aane recurrence equations. The parallelization technique used in OPERA is based on a classical linear space-time transformation. Its objectives are to visualize the dependences of a problem (which can be quite complicated in the context of aane dependences) and to propose a set of diierent parallel solutions characterized by diierent sets of communications between the processors. This paper recalls the underlying parallelization technique and illustrates OPERA with the Gaussian elimination algorithm.
